The sport of carriage driving was developed in the early 1970’s, with the support of HRH Prince Philip it quickly became and international sport.
Although it is a modern sport as such the dressage and cones require a certain etiquette when it comes to harness and dress.
As a basic guideline
There are two categories of turnout. Town and Country.
The town turnout then divides into owner driven carriage and coachman driven carriage.
Owner Coachman
Carriage: Painted dark colours Painted dark blue,
Eg Dark blue, green reds and black.
May have yellow or lighter

Harness: Collar harness with black Collar harness
